TECHNOVA - POCO has officially introduced its latest flagship smartphone lineup, the POCO F7 Ultra and POCO F7 Pro, during a global launch event held in Singapore. Designed to deliver flagship-level performance, the new devices focus on powerful gaming capabilities, advanced cooling technology, and ultra-fast charging, targeting users seeking premium features at a competitive price.
According to Angus Ng, Head of Product Marketing at POCO Global, the launch of the POCO F7 Series marks another milestone in the company's mission to make cutting-edge flagship technology more accessible. For the first time, POCO has also introduced an Ultra model, offering significant improvements in performance and features over previous generations.
The POCO F7 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, built on TSMC's advanced 3nm manufacturing process. The chipset is claimed to deliver up to a 45% improvement in CPU performance and a 44% increase in GPU performance compared to its predecessor, while also offering significantly better power efficiency.
To further enhance the gaming experience, the POCO F7 Ultra features the company's first dedicated graphics chipset, the VisionBoost D7. It supports technologies such as Smart Frame Rate up to 120 FPS, 2K Super Resolution, and Game HDR, providing smoother gameplay and richer visual quality.
On the software side, the smartphone runs Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which introduces several intelligent features, including HyperCore, HyperConnect, HyperAI, and Google Gemini integration to improve productivity and cross-platform connectivity.
Meanwhile, the POCO F7 Pro serves as an alternative flagship option, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. Combined with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 and WildBoost Optimization 4.0, the device is designed to deliver fast, responsive performance for demanding applications and high-frame-rate gaming.
To maintain stable performance during intensive workloads, both smartphones are equipped with LiquidCool Technology 4.0, featuring a dual-channel 3D IceLoop cooling system with an extra-large 5,400 mm² heat pipe. According to POCO, the cooling solution can reduce the SoC temperature by up to 3°C, enabling longer gaming sessions, video editing, and multitasking without significant performance degradation.
In terms of battery performance, the POCO F7 Ultra packs a 5,300mAh battery that supports 120W HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. The company claims the device can be fully charged in approximately 34 minutes using the included 120W charger.
The POCO F7 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a larger 6,000mAh battery paired with 90W HyperCharge technology. Both smartphones are equipped with the POCO Surge P3 charging chipset and the Surge G1 battery management chipset, which are designed to improve charging efficiency while extending long-term battery lifespan.
Globally, the POCO F7 Ultra is available in Yellow and Black, with memory configurations of 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB. The POCO F7 Pro is offered in Black, Silver, and Blue, with storage options of 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB.
